Loung Ung, the author of the book "First They Killed My Father", takes time to reflect at The Killing Fields Museum in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. One of a family of eight, she lost both parents and two sisters during Pol Pots Khmer Rouge regime that lasted between 1975 and 1979. She now resides in Washington DC (District of Columbia) in the USA (United States of America) where she is an advocate for Cambodian UXO (unexploded ordnance) victims.
